Why are we SO afraid of minor keys in our church?

What is it about minor keys and minor chords that we're often so afraid of in our Church? It seems SO silly to me. Is it because we have some kind of Paulianna-ish point of view on life that we can't be realistic and recognize that sometimes things aren't all rosy, sunshine, and rainbows? Maybe, I'm not sure. I mean, I'm all for being positive, having a good attitude, and plowing in hope despite challenges. But sometimes when things get tough, we need someone to put their arms around us and...
