Learning great techniques from LOVE songs

I love picking out techniques from love songs... ...and other love-based music... ...when I'm writing Sacrament Meeting music. Why? Because in love songs, love-themed symphonic music, love duets in operas or musicals, or any other form of love music... ...composers and songwriters rely heavily on techniques that make us FEEL something.
